Thanks for good help. Would not have made it without H2P. I was really psyched up, to get some sims's, and say to myself before the test, "bring it on". To my dissapointing, i did not get any SIM's, just simlets.
Stydy aids, Chris Bryant, some IPV6 on the internet, and my home lab.

Passed ICND1 a couple weeks ago at 950, then ICND2 a couple days ago at 944.
Here are 2 things that I did that helped me pass these tests:
1) Make sure you read every word of each answer explanations after doing each HOW2PASS practice question. They are well written, and explain concepts very clearly. Don't rely on rote memorization of the answers.
2) Spend a lot of time on the SIMs and Hands-on-Lab 7 and 8. I am glad I did Hands-on-Lab 7 (NAT) because that alone prepared me to answer a number of NAT questions on the actual test.
Good luck!

I sat for this exam on Friday May 17th. I studied for four months, using this site, CBT's and my basement lab with 5 2600's and 2 3500XL switches plus a 2500 mgmt server. (Cntrl+Shft+6-X in my sleep)
I scored a 988/1000.
I was given 6 labs/simulations included in 52 overall questions. I finished with just a couple minutes on the clock.
I waited 6 months between the CCNA and this test (2 year old in the house and a full time job). I won't make that mistake again. "Back to the lab?" As my wife would say!
Thanks H2P

I plan on taking the two test route. I am wondering if it I can just purchase the CCNA and study with it (along with the other materials) or should I get the ICND1??
Thoughts?

Took the ICND2 test today and passed with a 887. My study material included CCENT for Dummies, CCNA Simulator ITT edition and How2Pass. If you are on the fence about paying for How2pass, let me say DO IT! It will pay off big time. 80 percent of my preparation was from How2Pass.

LAB 8 CONFUSION |

It says in LAB 8 that VLAN 1 address is 192.168.127.130 255.255.255.224
Therfore the increments are in mulutples of 32
Then it is claims the managment subnet address is = 192.168.127.128
That can not be correct if the address is 192.168.127.130
I believe this LAB is incorrect. Someon please clarify for me.
Thanks

2 years ago I went through the CCNA Bootcamp and decided that I had enough information to pass the exam. I felt confident enough that I would be able to do extremely well on it so I scheduled the exam for the following week. I had no idea how difficult the exam was going to be. I ended up getting 724 (or something like that) on the exam and I felt crushed. After a couple of years and some more real-world experience, I felt it was time for me to give it another shot. I practiced with GNS3 and real equipment but what really prepared me for the various types of questions was How2Pass's online practice exam for CCNA. I found that very similar questions were on the exam that were on the practice tests. I don't say it to say that I memorized the answers but rather that I understood the question and knew why the correct answers were the correct answer. I give the team at How2Pass a big thumbs up! Great work guys!

VTP sims - had to change the domain name and also use last available ip address/27 for switch management. Set switch to client mode.
Frame-relay simlets. Names for were different. Logged onto console, did show run and show frame-relay map for get the info. No password for authentication.
5 ipv6 questions
4 or 5 security questions.
many switching questions.
Few Acl questions
2 Autom summary
Drag - Drop for ACL
I didn't see EIGRP and OSPF sims. Got lucky today
You can pass if you study the concepts with this site and doing the labs. I learned a lot from how2pass, the answers very clear and to the point. Made me understand the subject.
Study materials used along with this site, CBT Nuggets and Chris Bryant
