The question states:
"What does a router do if it has no EIGRP feasible successor route to a destination network and the successor route to that destination network is in active state."
The answer should be:
It routes all traffic that is addressed to the destination network to the interface indicated in the routing table.
Explanation:
Since the successor route is in active state, it does not need a feasible successor route. EIGRP only cares that a route is working in this case. Now if the successor route should fail, then it would send a multicast query packet to adjacent neighbors requesting available routing paths to the destination network.

PASSED CCNA 640-802 TODAY |

I finished taking my CCNA 640-802 exam today and I passed with 907/1000. I still had 40 mins left to go. I encourage everyone to make sure you score 90% or above on every section of How2Pass. Most of the questions were similar on the exam. You still have to have an understanding of the concept and just not remember answers. Without How2Pass, I know i would've failed. The hands on experience of the labs is a big plus. My exam included EIGRP, VTP, and ACL. I read the CCNA books for month from top to bottom of the Wendell Odom suggested by How2pass and I studied How2pass almost daily for 1-2hrs making sure I was mastering the material. On today, I ran over questions for 3hrs until it was time for test time. I'm glad I did because some of the similar questions appeared on the exam and were still fresh in my mind.
This is my 2nd go around using How2pass and it is worth every penny. It is less expensive than other practice test sites and the hands on experience is advantageous. I first used How2pass 3years ago and I passed the exam.
thanks How2pass!!!!!!

host IP 10.0.0.249
subnet mask 255.255.255.0
Question is what should the default gateway be
With this mask, the range is 10.0.0.0 to 255
.0 should be the gateway and 255 the broadcast
Why then does the explanation say 10.0.0.0 cannot be used as a host (the question was regarding the gateway, not the host) and it says the gateway would be 254. Why would you have a default gateway as 254 on this mask - that would be madness and a waste of hosts!!!

192.168.20.24 /29 - default gateway is what?
the network is incremented by 8 so we are in the 192.168.20.24 - 31 range
The answer says the default gateway is .25. Surely that should be 24?

In this question, a /25 is quoted but the answer states the increment must be in the 3rd octet. Surely any 3rd octet increment would be /16 through /23 and /25 would be 4th octet?

This one I don't get.The explanation misses out part of the answer. 1 router, 1 switch with 2 VLans. This is all explained but the bit missing is
"the interface of the router is configured with multipe IP addresses."
I didn't think that was possible, and with the diagram, I would not know how to tell

Hello All..
I passed on Sept 28. Sorry for the delay in update, but I went on a cruise to relax after many months of studying. I scored 895, and had 5 SIMMS. I took my time, and finished with only 4 mins left on the clock.. Now, for what you really want to know. I used CiscoPress, CBTNuggets and their labs, TrainSignal, and INE labs, but the real deal is HOW2PASS. Their questions were dead on, or very, very close. Cisco will throw some different questions, or change some of the details. Study using HOW2PASS, but review the explanations. Know the technologies, theories, and what is being asked. HOW2PASS provides real questions and explanations. If you memorize, you will not be able to deal with the changed questions. Know the technologies, practice on HOW3PASS, and you will pass!! No dought!! Thank you H2P!!!

Good evening all
I am looking at this question. It shows different equipment talking to its counterpart over a point to point WAN and asks what each type of communication represents. I would have expected the CSU/DSU to be using PPP because they do, routers to be talking using IP because they use layer 3, switches to be using data link because they use layer 2 and the hosts to be using physical for same reasons. The question is how do the pcs communicate to each other. I went for physical as natural progression but the answer is IP - which I would have thought would be he routers. I don't get this at all. Please help

I enjoy the "Dummy" series of books.
