I did my exam yesterday and passed it with a 899/1000 and had 30 minuites left on the clock. 
I did all the practice exams until i was getting above 95 as suggested by how2pass then was mainly doing the last set of exams until i was getting 95 also. That really helped because most of the questions on the real exam were similar, so just follow the guidelines suggested by this site and you should be good, i'm also new to IT. On to ICND2
