QID:A127 - bcarlson - 09-06-2016 13. If primary and secondary root switches with priority 16384 both experience catastrophic losses, which tertiary switch can take over? A switch with priority 12288 A switch with priority 4096 A switch with priority 8192 A switch with priority 20480 Your answer is the last one, 20480. How is it that the highest priority takes over?? And, what is a primary and secondary root switch? What is a tertiary switch? I appreciate your help. Re: QID:A127 - tmloyd - 09-09-2016 bcarlson. It is one of those trick questions. If the first 3 answers were priority numbers in the switched network, then they would've been originally been either the primary or secondary root bridges. So, with 16384 being the priority and secondary root number (on both switches), 20480 is the only priority number that could've been on the switched network. |
