AN682 - JamesJones - 11-17-2025 The explanation says "GIven the presence of 10.90.0.0/16 any traffic dstined for subnet 10.90.0.0/16 range which includes 10.90.8.0/24 subnet will indeed be forwarded" But the answer says "R7 will drop traffic destined to 10.90.8.0/24" I was marked "wrong" for selecting the answer that says "R7 will forward traffic destined to 10.90.8.0/24" Please review and correct this. Thanks, James RE: AN682 - help_desk - 11-19-2025 The explanation properly mentions: "Given the presence of the "B 10.90.0.0/16 [200/0] via 0.0.0.0, 03:57:59, Null0" line in the routing table, any traffic destined for a subnet within the 10.90.0.0/16 range, which includes the 10.90.8.0/24 subnet, will indeed be forwarded to the Null0 interface. This typically means that the traffic will be dropped, which is a method used to prevent routing loops or to advertise a range without forwarding traffic to that range". |
